At King Street Primary, our vision is to provide a science curriculum which enables pupils to explore and discover the world around them, so that they have a deeper understanding of the world we live in. We do this through four key principles of learning:
Science in King Street is good when…
* We can explore, ask and find the answers to our own questions.
*We are given an opportunity to express ourselves, our thoughts and our discoveries using scientific words and ideas.
*We are challenged to use our scientific knowledge and understanding in school and the wider world.
* We work as and with scientists to carry out practical experiments and investigations.
Through embedding these four principles from an early stage, we aim to provide our pupils with improved opportunities to partake in a more exciting, challenging and hands on scientific experience, which encourages curiosity and fosters learning.
