Welcome
A warm welcome to our Little Acorns Nursery page!
Our Teacher/Key Person is Miss Whitfield and our EYFS Practitioner is Miss Bendelow and our support is Miss Stayman. We also have additional support from Miss Starkie (vocabulary, speech and language) and Mr Swift (movement - gross/fine motor skills).
We currently offer a 15 hour morning session, 15 hour afternoon session or a 30 hours session, where children stay all day.
These sessions for our Little Acorns are open to children over the age of 3 (Please see our Little Buds provision for 2 year olds). Most children will start nursery the term after their third birthday, but there are some exceptions. Please look at the Best Start in Life website below to find out further information to your childcare entitlement.
Places are allocated according to birthdate so although the office will acknowledge your application, an offer will not be made until closer to your child's start date.
If you are looking for a nursery place, please contact school.
Application forms can be requested from our school office.
Children are grouped into small 'Family Groups' led by a Key Person at the start and end of every session. The rest of the time, the children learn through play, supported by the fabulous staff who work within our provision. Children share the outdoor space in all weathers with Reception children.
We encourage a love of reading with our 'Bookworms' sharing library, where children choose a book to share at home.
We share information on Tapestry relating to what your child is learning in Nursery and ways to support that learning at home.
